01 — About

Full-stack engineer, then AI engineer

Three years at gtlogic taught me how to ship production software — Ember.js and Node.js on the surface, REST and GraphQL underneath. I'm building on that now as a full-stack engineer at an eSIM startup.

Since January 2025 I've paired that with an MEng in AI and Machine Learning at AUB — the same instinct for how systems behave under real conditions, now applied to models instead of services.

Education

  • MEng, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning

    American University of Beirut

    Jan 2025 — Spring 2027

    Graduate Fellowship & Assistantship Program.

  • BE, Computer and Communications Engineering

    American University of Beirut

    Sep 2018 — Jun 2023

GPA 82.5/100, graduated with distinction. USAID Scholarship Program.

02 — Experience

Where I've worked

Client work at gtlogic is under NDA, so these describe what I was responsible for rather than what was built.

  1. Full-Stack Software Engineer

    Aug 2026 — Present

    eSIM Startup

    • Build and ship features for a consumer eSIM application on an ASP.NET Core 10 backend with a React frontend and PostgreSQL storage.
    • Implemented Stripe payment flows covering checkout, plan purchase, and transaction handling.
    • Introduced Redis caching on high-traffic reads, keeping response times low as usage grows.
  2. Full-Stack Software Engineer

    Jul 2023 — Mar 2026

    gtlogic · Antelias, Lebanon

    • Owned end-to-end delivery of features on SIMON, Vimly's benefits administration platform, covering quoting, enrollment, eligibility, billing, and payments.
    • Rewrote the data access behind slow legacy endpoints as tuned SQL Server queries, cutting response times by roughly 60% on the heaviest requests.
    • Built SIMON interfaces in Ember Octane with Ember Data over a REST adapter, backed by Node.js services on SQL Server.
    • Worked directly with product and design to turn requirements into scoped technical plans, and resolved production incidents at their root cause.
  3. Telecom Intern

    Jul 2022 — Aug 2022

    Dar Al-Handasah · Beirut, Lebanon

    • Trained in the installation and commissioning of IoT devices across a building.
    • Produced fire alarm and structured cabling network layouts for an airport terminal and a residential development.
  4. Software Intern

    Dec 2021 — Mar 2022

    Monty Mobile · Beirut, Lebanon

    • Built a Student Management System in .NET Core 6 with a React frontend and PostgreSQL storage.
    • Decoupled its services with RabbitMQ running in Docker as the message broker.

An online supermarket where customers browse and order products and vendors manage their own inventory and listings from a dedicated dashboard.

    • Django
    • Python
    • PostgreSQL
    • HTML
    • CSS
  • AI & ML2025

    ChartLM

    Graduate coursework, AUB

An evaluation of vision-language models — Phi-3.5-Vision, Qwen2.5-VL and InternVL2.5 — on chart question answering, measuring how reliably each reads values off bar, line and pie charts and where their answers break down.

    • Python
    • PyTorch
    • Hugging Face
    • ChartQA
